Q: So What's A Christian Anyway?

A:  Webster's Dictionary defines a Christian as "a person who professes belief in the teachings of Jesus Christ or in the religion based on the teachings of Jesus". This is a good starting point but it falls short of really conveying what a true Christian really is.  To get a deeper understanding of what a Christian is, let's look at the actual word "Christian" itself. The word "Christian" steams from the word "Christ" used for those who followed Jesus and imitated his life, those who were "Like Christ" or "Christ Like". Jesus is the Christ (the Anointed one). So a true Christian would not just be someone who professes a belief in Jesus Christ, but someone who is "Christ Like" A true Christian is someone who is "Like Jesus".  

In other word's when you see them they Act Like Jesus, striving to live a life pleasing to God. Sort of like all those WWJD (What Would Jesus Do) bracelets people used to wear around their wrist. In other word's they strive to actually do what Jesus did. 

Q: So What Did Jesus Do? 

A: Well, Jesus loved people in spite of their weaknesses and flaws, Jesus was a man of Prayer, Jesus put the will of the Father above his own, Jesus lived a sinless life, Jesus was kind to the hurting, Jesus helped the needy and gave to the poor. Jesus saw potential in those who the world would look down upon. The list goes on and on (you can read more about Jesus in the Bible, start in the Book of Matthew).
